After using their anti-sensitivity cream, I decided to pick up this deep clean mask as well.
I spent a long time debating between the Moroccan and the green clay versions at the time,
but eventually chose the Moroccan one.
Unlike other powdered deep cleansing masks on the market,
this one comes as a set with their proprietary conditioning liquid.
The liquid contains plant oils, essential oils, and hydrosols.
It separates into oil and water at first, so you have to shake it well before use.
Mix it until it reaches a liquid consistency, then apply it to your face.
The texture can sometimes be thick and sometimes thin,
and it took me a few tries to get the hang of the ratio.
It does feel dry after application, but not to the point of cracking or extreme discomfort.
Since the mask powder contains Binchotan charcoal particles,
I gently massage in circular motions over areas prone to blackheads and clogged pores while washing it off,
using it as an exfoliant as well.
Afterward, I clearly noticed that my nose area felt much smoother.
I can't stop myself from touching my nose now! 😂😂
About 80% of the surface blackheads were rubbed away.
I am also satisfied with its ability to inhibit new blackheads from forming.
With my previous deep cleansing masks, blackheads would return in about 1-2 days,
so I had to do a deep cleanse twice a week on average.
This product actually lets me limit deep cleansing to just once a week.
Also, the manufacturing and expiry months are clearly marked on the product,
which ensures freshness and prevents the use of expired items.
The powdered deep cleansing mask has a shelf life of six months,
which is plenty of time to finish it and even repurchase a second box. 😂
After mentioning the pros, I have to talk about the cons.
As I mentioned earlier, it's a bit tricky to get the ratio of powder to conditioning liquid right,
which causes the bottle of liquid to be used up very quickly,
even though there is still enough mask powder left for several more uses.
If the liquid runs out, I have to use water instead.
It would be great if they sold the conditioning liquid separately!
