Green Clay Detoxifying Deep Cleansing Mask
.
First time trying this type of deep cleansing mask that you have to mix yourself🤔 I've used it five or six times now, so I can share my thoughts😗 Each set comes with Step 1 green clay powder and Step 2 toner; just mix two teaspoons of each and it's ready to apply. Since I have oily, acne-prone skin, I chose the green clay. There’s also Moroccan clay for normal to oily skin, and pink clay for sensitive/dry skin.
.
Once mixed, it’s actually a bit like a finer version of The Body Shop’s charcoal mask🧐 It’s the type that dries down to absorb oil. After a while, it starts to tighten the skin, and the mud mask begins to dry and change color. The oil on my nose gets absorbed into the mask, appearing as tiny dots. When washing it off, just use a warm, damp towel to gently wipe in circular motions. After rinsing, most of the oil is gone, and the blackheads have surfaced😌 I then use a sterilized blackhead extractor (the flat side) to gently push them out, followed by a cotton ball dampened with a little toner to gently rub the pores in circular motions to ensure all the gunk is cleared away. Finally, I apply a hydrating mask to moisturize and tighten the pores😗
.
Even though it pulls the skin quite tight when it dries, it doesn't feel dry after washing. I think it’s because the toner contains several skincare oil ingredients, but surprisingly, it doesn’t feel greasy at all😂 I feel its cleansing power isn’t extremely intense—The Body Shop and Glamglow are stronger but also harsher, which is why those two can be used at most once a week. This green clay mask works best when used consistently twice a week! Also, the day after using it, my pus-filled acne seems to dry up more easily🤔
.
In conclusion, if you don't mind the hassle of mixing it yourself and are looking for a deep cleansing mask that is less harsh but still effectively absorbs oil with decent cleaning power, you might want to consider this green clay mask😗
